내가 이 밴드의 노래를 처음 들은 것은 플레쉬 애니메이션 이였다. 
기억이 잘 나지 않는데 악마 소환 의식에서 소환된 괴물이 사람들을 습격하는 내용의 애니메이션이였는데 상당한 인종차별적 내용의 플레쉬 였다.

이후 그들의 앨범과 뮤직 비디오를 구해보면서 상당한 충격을 받았음을 실토할 수 밖에 없다. 이들은 하드코어의 새로운 전형을 보여주며, 염세적이고, 종교적인 음악을 하고 있었기 때문이다. 
강력하면서도 섬세한 보컬을 보여주는 데이빗 드리먼의 모습은 흡사 연쇄 살인마의 그것이고, 그룹 이름또한 정신장애자 ... , 뮤직비디오의 낡고 더러운 침대와 아이 등 공포 스릴러 한편을 보고, 듣는듯... 

여하튼 이 플래시에 삽입된 곡 Down With sickness 이 널리 알려지면서 The Sickness 앨범제작의 모태가 된다.
